The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Warriors Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem mismatched, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the narrative’s action—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team access places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the family.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can expect learning which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
